About 150 athletes, in each category, met last weekend at CEAR La Cartuja (Seville) in an unbeatable environment and facilities at high altitude, where the race would take place.
The race began on Friday, November 9, with the now traditional race, made popular as the inaugural "wod", which would test all competitors in the purest version of endurance.
This event would consist of a night race in a natural environment, such as the Alamillo Park, where the athletes would have to complete a total of about 4.16 km under a "time cap" of 30′. Here the first qualifying moves in the different categories have started.
At the top of the charts in the different categories we had José Pelufo (Rx-M), Gira Luna (RX-F), Paco bravo (+34-M), Amaya Echeverría (+34-F), Gerar García (+40-M), Lorena De Dios (+40-F), Dani Merlos (teen-M) and Paloma Pereira (teen-F), something that strikes no doubt, that after the first wod, these athletes have already shown enough strength in a competition that was premonitory for them.
Entering the second day of the race, with the punctuality and perfect development that characterized this event, we would expect the classics.
Exercises very demanding and at the same time very intense, concluding the session with considerable grip wear, some hand injuries and a perfect mix of gymnastics and strength, not surprising for lovers of this sport.
It won't take long for the champions to definitively consolidate their position in the qualifying classification, showing during the day the direction it could take - towards the names that will complete the podium - which are more attractive among those present, also because of the uncertainty and the occupation of the same.
At this time of competition, after four wods, and together with the first places already decided, we found Alejandro Ocaña and Victoriano Blasco (RX-M), Elisa Martínez and Adela Marín (RX-F), Alex Burriel and Fran Granados (+34-M), Rosa Valdearcos and Nadia Van Den Berg (+34-F), Tomás Guijo and Daniel Pancorbo (+40-M), Cruz Lozano and Arantxa Prado (+40-F), Mateo Crespo and Nicolás López (teen-M), Laura Carvalho and Carmen Sánchez (teen-F).
We could emphasize, once again, the importance of being prepared to perform any functional exercise or movement, highlighting the requirement in the preparation, as an athlete, before a competition in this sport or these characteristics.
To conclude this second day of competition, it was done the honor to present the briefing for the third and final day, arousing enthusiasm for the final event. It was then that fatigue and tiredness had already left their mark on the athletes after their enormous effort, they needed to rest, but the "icing on the cake", the final test, was still missing.
The golden brooch would have been an explosive and exhausting weapon, especially for some muscle groups, where each athlete had to abandon training, fighting every repetition with a high competitive load and testing the strength of different skills for each of the athletes competing in this last round, trying to adjust or define, a little more, the final ranking.
It was then that we reached the final of this competition and, consequently, the award ceremony, in which we highlighted the important charitable work carried out by the organization, and which aims to support the association Mobile DanceThe company is a member of the International Association for the Promotion of the Arts, contributing to the creative, social and personal process of incredible and extraordinary people.
