Marta López del Árbol, boxer of Jaén, will be the only Spanish representative to compete in the U-20 World Cup, which will be held from 23 to 31 August in Budapest (Hungary), reported the Spanish Federation.
Marta is currently training at the new "Sugar Ray" Combat School (Jaén), equipped by Ruster® Fitness.
The CD fighter Cuadrilátero de Jaén won previously in the Andalusian and Spanish Championships, and was the first Spaniard to win a fight in the European Championship celebrated in Roseto degli Abruzzi (Italy), where he was fifth and eliminated in the quarter-finals before the last winner, the Irish Daina Moorehouse.
López del Árbol will take part in the category from 45 to 48 kilos together with Pablo Coy from Alicante, who has won one of the extra places granted to each of the continents.
Marta López del Árbol is pleased to have been chosen to participate in the World Cup and told EFE that the work done has allowed her to be called to Hungary and hopes to get "a good performance after the fifth place in the European Championship in Italy," she said.
He will now follow the training plan with his technicians, Jesus and Raul Buendia, and the trainers of the Spanish Boxing Federation.
